Gregory Downs, CFPE, CFPS

Gregory Downs has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in the US. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a Certified Fluid Power Engineer (CFPE), a Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS), and a Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist (CFPHS). Greg has over forty years of engineering design and management experience developing hydraulic, mechanical, and powertrain systems for rough terrain, all terrain, and service hydraulic cranes, forklifts, combine harvesters, cotton pickers, excavators, aerial work platforms, offshore drilling rigs, haul trucks for mining, tractors, scissor lifts, large pipe bending machines, and conveyor systems to name a few. While owner of his own engineering consulting firm he developed and taught courses in hydraulics. He is currently Senior Principal Engineer at Zoomlion Heavy Industry NA, the North American Research and Development Center for Zoomlion, working with the power systems, control systems, and structures groups.
